!!!Ulrich III. von Sponheim

Ulrich III, 
d. Cividale (Italy), Oct. 27, 1269, Master of Carniola and last Duke 
of Carinthia (1256-1269) of the  Sponheimer dynasty; son and 
descendant of  Bernhard von Sponheim. Came to an agreement with his 
brother  Philipp von Sponheim, the Archbishop of Salzburg, that the 
latter should become Duke in the event of his death. One of Ulrich's 
sons from his first marriage died at a young age, his second marriage 
to Agnes von Baden, daughter of  Gertrud (of the Babenberg dynasty), 
remained childless. After his death Carinthia came into the hands of 
Přemysl  Ottokar II of Bohemia, whom Ulrich had made heir instead 
of his brother Philipp in the "Podiebrad Testament" of Dec. 4, 1268.
