!!!Umlauff Umlauf, Ignaz
b. Vienna, 1746,
d. Vienna, June 8, 1796, singspiel composer, orchestra conductor and
violinist. Father of Michael Umlauff. From 1772 violinist in the
Imperial Orchestra, from 1775 concert master at the Deutsches Theater,
from 1782 Imperial Theatre Orchestra conductor. In 1778 his singspiel
"Die Bergknappen" was played at the opening of the national singspiel
at the Vienna Burgtheater. Many of his tunes were very popular in his
day.

schoene Schusterin, 1779; Das Irrlicht, 1782; Die gluecklichen Jaeger,
1786; Der Ring der Liebe, 1786. - Piano and church music.
