Unzmarkt-Frauenburg, Styria, market town in the district of Judenburg, 
alt. 745 m, pop. 1,615, 
area 36.54 km%%sup 2/%, in the upper Mur valley, on both 
sides of the River Mur/Mura (Unzmarkt on the right, Frauenburg on the 
left bank). - School of rural domestic science, library, power station 
(municipal), Unzmarkt run-of-river station (private), Weisseck 
transmitter of the ORF (Austrian broadcasting corporation), amusement 
park (since 1993); wood industry (felling enterprises, trade, 
processing), earth works. - At Unzmarkt, Baroque parish church (1737, 
documented mention in 1311) with Gothic choir, statues by B. 
Prandtstaetter from Judenburg and his workshop; castle ruins in 
Frauenburg (documented mention in 1248, favourite residence of the 
minnesinger  Ulrich von Liechtenstein); Romanesque-Gothic parish 
church (documented mention in 1309, altered before 1447) with nave and 
high altar converted in Baroque style (around 1735/36) by B. 
Prandtstaetter's workshop, tombstone with coat of arms (around 1280) 
of Ulrich III von Liechtenstein (grandson of the minnesinger) 
with oldest German tombstone inscription.
