Vegh, Sándor, b. Cluj Napoca, Rumania (then Klausenburg), May 17, 1912, 
d. Freilassing (Germany), Jan. 7, 1997, violinist and conductor. 
Became world-famous mainly for his performances of contemporary 
compositions (B. Bártok, E. von Dohnány, R. Strauss). 
From 1972 master class at the Salzburg Mozarteum, from 1978 until his 
death head of the  Camerata Academica Salzburg.
