Voecklamarkt, Upper Austria, market town in the district of 
Voecklabruck, alt. 488 m, pop. 4,513, area 
27.36 km%%sup 2/%, lying on the river Voeckla in the Attergau 
region. - Road administration office, children´s museum (Walchen 
palace), sports centre, 1,773 gainfully employed persons (figures from 
1991): wood processing and metal working industries (tank building, 
machine building), commerce. - Late Gothic parish church, hall church 
with 2 naves, chancel by S. Wultinger (1457), interior altered in 
Baroque style from 1720 to 1730, west tower with double onion helm 
(1721); Calvary chapel (1723); remains of Roman buildings, milestone 
(201 A.D.);  Walchen Palace; in the vicinity, Hausham plain 
(Peasants´ Revolt memorial, municipality of Pfaffing).
