VA TECH ELIN GmbH, subsidiary of   (see) VA Technologie AG, under its 
present name since 1999, successor to the traditional Austrian 
electrical engineering firm   (see) ELIN, with headquarters in Vienna. 
Active in the fields of  power production, transmission and 
distribution; supplies an international clientèle with systems 
for water and thermal power plants and power transmission facilities. 
In 1997 the group had a staff of 2912 and reported sales in the order 
of ATS 6.7 billion.
