Veritas, publishing house with headquarters in Linz, founded in 1949, 
second-largest school-book publisher in Austria. Most of the titles in 
its pedagogical programme are exported to other German-speaking 
countries. In 1993, Veritas took over the highly-renowned German 
Ehrenwirth publishing house. The areas of specialisation in Veritas' 
own bookshops are theology, pedagogics and children's books, a special 
assortment of books for the use of parishes is offered as well. The 
Oberoesterreichischer Landesverlag, which also belongs to Veritas, 
publishes mainly guide-books, volumes of illustrations and 
non-fiction.
