Verzetnitsch, Friedrich (Fritz), b. Vienna, May 22, 1945, 
politician (SPOe, Social Democratic Party); originally plumber. From 
1963-1970 different functions in political youth organisations. 
1970-1973 worked in the OeGB (Austrian Federation of Trade Unions) 
youth department, 1982/83 Secretary of a department of the OeGB; 
1983-1987 chief secretary of the OeGB, from 1987 president of the 
Austrian  federation of Trade Unions. 1984-1986 member of the 
Bundesrat; since 1986 member of the Nationalrat.
