Societies of St. Vincent de Paul, organisations for voluntary care of 
the poor (also called "Vincent Conference"), founded in 
Paris in 1833 by F. Ozanam in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul, in 
Austria since 1849; their aim is to give direct help to people in 
social or in spiritual and religious need.
