Waldenstein, Carinthia, small rural settlement (Weiler) in the 
district of  Wolfsberg, alt. 736 m, on the Waldensteiner Bach 
stream, on the road leading to the Packsattel Pass, in the cadastral 
district of the municipality of Wolfsberg. - Mining of iron mica (best 
quality worldwide). - Castle (first documented mention 1255) with 
Romanesque keep, annexes from the Gothic and Renaissance periods, 
subsidiary church of St. John Nepomuk (1752).
