Urfahr-Umgebung, alt. 303 m, pop. 3,245, area 
15.28 km%%sup 2/%, east of the River Rodl, close to its entry 
into the River Danube, at the edge of a geological basin. - sports 
park, zoo and horse riding stables; wood-working industry, transport 
industry. - Late-Gothic parish church (first documented mention 1317) 
with Baroque alterations, chapel (1773), altarpiece by M. J. 
Schmidt (1770); chapel in Poesting with late-Gothic sculptures.
