Wallersee, Lake, province of Salzburg, alt. 505 m, 
6.4 km%%sup 2/%, 5.6 km long and 1.9 km wide, 23 m 
deep; south-east of the Trumer Seen lakes, located in the moraine area 
of the Flachgau region; water with medium nutrient content. As the 
largest lake in the Salzburg Pre-Alps, Lake Wallersee is one of the 
most popular recreation areas for the population of the city of 
Salzburg. The villages of Seekirchen, Henndorf and Neumarkt am 
Wallersee are located at or close to the lake shore.
