b. Klosterneuburg (Lower Austria), Aug. 13, 1921, photographer.
Emigrated to Israel in 1938, fought in the "Jewish Brigade" for the
British Army in World War II. Returned to Austria in 1946. From 1952
employed by "Stern" magazine, from 1967 head photographer of the
Gruner & Jahr publishing company ("Stern", "Schoener Wohnen",
"Brigitte" and "Eltern" magazines), also theatre photographer (e.g.
Salzburg Festival). Published illustrated books and organised
exhibitions.
