Weber, Ludwig, b. Vienna, July 29, 1899, 
d. Vienna, Dec. 9, 1974. Singer (bass). From 1920 to 25 with the 
Volksoper, from 1931 international career, mainly in Wagner parts; 
from 1945 with the Vienna State Opera, 1948 Kammersaenger*; from 1961 
professor at the Mozarteum Salzburg; also oratorio singer and 
recitalist.
