Weck, Peter, b. Vienna, Aug. 12, 1930. Kammerschauspieler, 
director, theatre intendant. 1940-1944 member of the Vienna Boys' 
Choir; 1948-1950 conducting class at the Vienna Musikhochschule*; 
1951-1953 Reinhardt-Seminar (drama school); 1953 debut at the 
Stadttheater Klagenfurt, from 1954 in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and at 
the Theater in der Josefstadt, 1957-1968 at the Burgtheater; 1968-1975 
Schauspielhaus Zurich, where he had his first success as director. 
Extremely productive work as an actor and director in films and on 
television (serials).; 1983-1986 manager of the Theater an der Wien 
(from 1983 Musical "Cats"), 1986-1992 theatre manager and 
artistic director of the  Vereinigte Buehnen Wien (world 
premières of the musicals "Freudiana", 1990; 
"Elisabeth", 1992); numerous awards.
