Wedenig, Ferdinand, b. Gurnitz (Carinthia), May 10, 1896, 
d. Klagenfurt (Carinthia), Nov. 11, 1975. Director of a 
publishing house and politician (Social Democratic Party, SPOe). 1934 
and 1944/45 in the Dachau concentration camp for political reasons; 
1945 member of the provisional government of the province of 
Carinthia, 1945-1947 member of the Nationalrat, 1947-1965 
Landeshauptmann of the province of Carinthia.
