Wehdorn, Manfred, b. Vienna, Jan. 23, 1942. Architect. 1966-1969 
studied at the Vienna University of Technology, from 1981 university 
professor, from 1990 Head of the Department of Art History, 
Preservation of Monuments and Industrial Archeology. 1986-1991 
chairman of the Austrian Monuments Advisory Board and from 1985-1989 
chairman of the "Industrial Heritage" study group of the Council 
of Europe. 1991-1998 chairman of the advisory council for 
town-planning and conservation of Vienna. Since 1998 expert for issues 
concerning monument maintenance and protection at the European 
Commission in Brussels.

Vienna 11 (project); Kinsky Palace, Vienna; Harrach Palace, 
Vienna; Schoenbrunn Palace (reorganisation of visitor channelling and 
courtyard overhead construction); Redoutensaal tract of the Hofburg 
Imperial Palace after the fire 1992; gas holder, Vienna; Rossauer 
Barracks, Vienna; Museum Quarter, Vienna (with M. Ortner and L. 
Ortner); Admont abbey (entire complex and abbey museum). - Several 
exhibition constructions as well as industrial and church
