Wehle, Peter, b. Vienna, May 9, 1914, d. Vienna, May 18, 
1986. Musician, composer, librettist, revue performer. Studied law and 
German, as well as piano and violin; 1946 together with G.  Philipp he 
founded the satirical revue "Die kleinen Vier" in Salzburg. His 
work with G.  Bronner and H.  Qualtinger gave new impulses to the 
genre of post-war satirical revue ( Kabarett) in Austria. With G. 
Bronner created the radio series "Der Guglhupf" and wrote 
Schlager (German pop music) texts (e.g. for P.  Alexander), chansons, 
Viennese popular songs, musical comedies and numerous books.
