Weissbach bei Lofer, province of Salzburg, municipality in the 
district of Zell am See, alt. 665 m, pop. 391, area 
69.56 km%%sup 2/%, small tourist village (33,045 overnight stays 
in 1992) at the confluence of the Weissbach stream and River Saalach, 
northwest of Saalfelden; cadastral district of Oberweissbach and 
Unterweissbach. Office of the Bavarian Saal forest administration. - 
Late-Baroque parish church (documented mention in 1663), 
reconstruction according to a plan by W. Hagenauer in 1791. Close to 
Seisenberg gorge, Lamprecht cave (entrance on the municipal territory 
of Sankt Martin bei Lofer).
