Weingartner, Wendelin, b. Innsbruck (Tyrol), Feb. 7, 1937. Civil 
servant and politician (Austrian People's Party, OeVP). 1963 began 
working for the Tyrolean Provincial Government, 1984 director of the 
board of the Landes-Hypothekenbank, from 1991-2000 chairman of the 
Tyrolean OeVP, 1989-1993 Landesrat, from 1993 Landeshauptmann of 
Tyrol.
