Weinzierl, Erika (nee Fischer), b. Vienna, June 6, 1925. 
Historian. Worked in the Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchiv (the archives 
founded by Maria Theresia to accommodate all documents relating to the 
Habsburg dynasty, the Court, and Austrian foreign policy) from 
1948-1964; from 1964-1992 Head of the Salzburg Institute of 
Contemporary Ecclesiastic History, 1967-1979 University Professor of 
Austrian History at Salzburg, specialising in contemporary history and 
1979-1995 university professor at the Department of Contemporary 
History in Vienna. From 1977 Head of the L.-Boltzmann Institute for 
History and Society, honorary for member of the board of the Austrian 
Association for Contemporary History and honorary president of the 
Society against anti-Semitism.
