Welte, Adalbert, b. Frastanz (Vorarlberg), June 30, 1902, 
d. Hard (Vorarlberg), July 9, 1969. Writer and civil servant. As 
an author firmly rooted in local tradition. Wrote novellas on the 
history of the great migration to the Walsertal, Vorarlberg ("Das 
dunkle Erbe", 1933; "Die grosse Flucht", 1939).
