Wenns, Tirol, municipality in the district of Imst, alt. 982 m, 
pop. 1,896, area 29.65 km%%sup 2/%, bi-seasonal tourist resort 
(118,500 overnight stays in 1992) in the Pitztal valley. - Gothic 
parish church in the town centre (rebuilt after a fire in 1613, 
interior altered in 1790); St. Margaret church (documented mention in 
the 14%%sup th/%  century, rebuilt in 1698); Baroque chapels 
(18%%sup th/%  century); house with rich façade paintings 
(1576).
