!!!Wiener Gobelinmanufaktur

Wiener Gobelinmanufaktur, 1921-87, based in the Wiener Hofburg 
Imperial Palace, founded after World War I by August Mader (1888-1962) 
and the painter Robin Christian Andersen (1890-1969). Some Women 
weavers and restorers, who had been made redundant due to lay-offs in 
state-run workshops, were employed at this factory. were partly taken 
over from state-run workshops. Tapestry work by the Wiener 
Gobelinmanufaktur can be seen in the Vienna State Opera, the 
Festspielhaus in the city of Salzburg, the Austrian Museum of Applied 
Art (MAK) in Vienna and in several ministries. Works by the Wiener 
Gobelinmanufaktur have been exported to America, Great Britain and 
Switzerland.
