b. Gmuend (Lower Austria), June 14, 1945, journalist. Editor with the 
Austrian magazine  "profil" from 1974-1994. Had advanced to the post 
of deputy editor-in-chief with "profil" before he left the paper to 
become one of the chief editors of the magazine  "News" in May 1994.
