b. Dumbrăviorara, Rumania (then Sáromberke), Feb. 4, 1838, 
d. Vienna, April 16, 1917, officer. From 1859 participated in all the 
campaigns fought by the Austrian monarchy. In his memoirs he described 
the life of an officer in his time.
