b. Moertschach (Carinthia), May 3, 1920, regional planner. Town 
planner in Villach from 1946-1956; regional planner for the province 
of Carinthia from 1948-1959. Together with K. Newole he founded the 
"Austrian Society for the Promotion of Regional Planning" in 1954. 
Professor and department head at the University of Technology in 
Vienna from 1959-1991; Municipal Councillor for urban planning in 
Vienna from 1976-1983. Numerous publications.
