!!!Zürn, Michael der Jüngere

Zuern, Michael the Younger, b. 1654, d. 1698, sculptor. 
After spending some time in Moravia, lived and worked in Gmunden from 
1681, in Rosenheim from 1692 and in Passau from 1696. Found 
inspiration for his works in Bohemia and Moravia and was influenced 
particularly by G. L. Bernini and the Venetian sculpture of his 
time (no documented mention of a sojourn in Italy). Among his works 
are 16 angels on the side altars of the collegiate church at 
Kremsmuenster (1682-1686) as well as altar statues in the parish 
churches of Gruenau im Almtal, Vorchdorf, Altmuenster and Gmunden.
