Zagersdorf, Burgenland, municipality in the district of 
Eisenstadt-Umgebung, alt. 180 m, pop. 921, area 
7.3 km%%sup 2/%, wine-growing region south of Eisenstadt, near 
the Hungarian border. For a long time, a cadastral district belonging 
to the municipality of Siegendorf in Burgenland, separate municipality 
since 1992; partly Croatian-speaking. - Wine production (especially 
red wine). - Documented mention in 1461/62, after being destroyed, 
re-settled with Croatians in 1532; Catholic parish church 
(18%%sup th/%  century), tower (1810), cruciform chapel (1727), 
Sebastian (1717), Virgin Mary and Trinity columns.
