d. Bozen/Bolzano (South Tyrol), Jan. 11, 1813, philosopher, canon 
lawyer. Professor at the University of Innsbruck and Augsburg, adviser 
to the Roman Curia; was one of the first to teach philosophy in 
accordance with the Newtonian system.
