b. Vienna, Jan. 6, 1925, 
d. Vienna, April 8, 1996, actor and director. Studied at the Reinhardt 
Seminar drama school in Vienna in 1946/47. From 1947 played at all 
important Vienna theatres (Burgtheater, Volkstheater, Theater in der 
Josefstadt, Scala); worked in Graz from 1953 (1970-1972 responsible 
for the plays performed at the theatre); worked in Germany and as 
director of various productions at the Vienna Burgtheater from 
1972-1976. In Vienna again from 1977 (Volkstheater, Theater in der 
Josefstadt).
