d. Oberalm (province of Salzburg), Aug. 16, 1997, studied law, 
politician (member of the Association of Independents - VdU, which was 
later integrated into the Austrian Freedom Party, and of the Austrian 
Freedom Party - FPOe). Member of the Nationalrat from 1953-1956 
(representative of the VdU) and from 1956-1977 (representative of the 
FPOe). ombudsman from 1977-1983. Founding member of the  Freiheitliche 
Partei Oesterreichs, FPOe (Austrian Freedom Party).
