!!!Ziegler, Johann Andreas

b. Meiningen, Germany, July 11, 1749, 
d. Vienna, March 18, 1802 (suicide), graphic artist. Came from a poor 
family, was able to study at the Academy of Fine Art in Vienna through 
support from Count Franz Josef Thun and owing to his Masonic 
connections. Known especially for his series of views of Vienna, 
"Collection de 50 vues de la ville de Vienne" (1779ff.), 
which he created with Carl  Schuetz and Laurenz  Janscha for the  
Artaria publishing house.
