Ziersdorf, Lower Austria, market town in the district of Hollabrunn, 
alt. 230 m, pop. 3,060, area 48.73 km%%sup 2/%, in 
the valley of the River Schmida, in the Weinviertel region. - 
Multi-purpose hall, Volksheim cultural centre; building industry, 
metal processing (locksmith's shop, aluminium processing, cold storage 
doors), mills. - Documented mention 1110; parish church with Gothic 
choir, nave and aisles rebuilt after fire in 1841; town hall (around 
1910) with Secessionist façade; former parish house (1784); 
Trinity column (1758).
