Die Wohngemeinde mit Landwirtschaft und Gewerbe liegt an Leitha und Fischa am Ost-Rand des Steinfelds.
Zum Markt wurde Zillingdorf um 1455 erhoben.
Sehenswert sind unter anderem:
* Neuroman. Kirche (Umbau 1865) mit gotischem Kern und neugotischer Einrichtung
* Pfarrhof (Umbau um 1800)
* Urtalkreuz (1715) und Valentinuskreuz (1609)
* Bergwerk: bis 1933 Braunkohleabbau, heute 2 Bergwerkseen, ehemalige Arbeiterhäuser, Barbarakirche (1971/75)
