Zoller, Peter, b. Innsbruck (Tirol), Sept. 16, 1952, 
physicist. Studied and pursued his career at the Institute of 
Theoretical Physics of the Department of Physics at the University of 
Innsbruck; from 1994 professor, from 1995 head of the Institute; 
1991-1994 professor at the University of Colorado. Over 150 scientific 
publications, e.g. on laser physics, electron correlation processes, 
quantum communication, etc. Awarded the Erwin Schroedinger Prize of 
the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 1998.
