!!!Zollunions-Plan

Customs Union Plan, Austrian-German, trade agreement between Austria
(O. Ender/J. Schober Administration) and Germany (J. Curtius
Administration), signed on March 19, 1931 and promulgated on
March 21, 1931 to lessen the consequences of the economic
crisis. France and the Little Entente entered vetos and the
International Court of Justice at The Hague decided against the plan
(8 : 7), as it was seen as a violation of the provisions of
the Geneva Protocols of 1922 (but not of the Treaty of
Saint-Germain-en-Laye). Even before the decision was handed down,
Austria and the German Reich officially renounced their Customs Union
Plan on September 3, 1931.
