b. Roveredo (Switzerland), around 1661, 
d. Adelholzen (Germany), May 14, 1717, architect. Was born into a 
family of architects living in the Swiss canton of Graubuenden. In his 
architectural designs Z. adhered to Italian High Baroque. Worked in 
Bavaria and Austria and was architect at the Prince-Archbishop's court 
in Salzburg from 1689 to 1693; was a famous precursor of J. B.  
Fischer von Erlach.

in the town of Salzburg: Erhard Church, 1685-1689; Kajetaner 
Church, 1685-1697. - The parish church of Hallwang, 1687-1694 
(Salzburg); the Palace of Aurolzmuenster, 1691-1711 (Upper Austria).
