Zwischenwasser, Vorarlberg, municipality in the district of Feldkirch, 
alt. 525 m, pop. 2,813, 
area 22.63 km%%sup 2/%, located north-east of Rankweil on a 
terrace above the Rhine Valley between Froedischbach and Frutzbach; 
comprises the villages of Batschuns, Buchebrunnen, Dafins and Muntlix. 
- Education centre, Furx provincial youth hostel, Suldis holiday 
centre, Kinderdorf-Ferienheim holiday home, sheltered workshop and 
residential home run by Lebenshilfe charity; textile printing factory, 
some summer tourism. - Parish church in Batschuns, based on plans by 
C. Holzmeister, built between 1921 and 1923; St. Josef church 
(for the most part new building 1917/1918) in Dafins; parish church in 
Muntlix (1958-1962); Weissenberg mansion ("Batschunser 
Schloessle", before 1601); Rheintalhoefe (type of farmstead 
typical of the Rhine valley).
