| This bridge over the Rhine virtually exists only on aerial photographs. The search on maps is almost in vain, as I found out by accident. Only in the latest official national maps it's shown again as a streak. The reason may be, that in this bridge an old oil pipeline is hidden. In the conduit flowed crude oil from Genoa to Ingolstadt until 1997. The pipeline has a diameter of 55 cm (21.6 in.), what already required a proper bridge. Under the name of the former operator of the pipeline, Oleodotto del Reno, you can find some information, but this bridge is not mentioned anywhere. To prevent possible attacks, they have it unceremoniously eliminated from the maps. The pipeline is now reactivated and converted into a high-pressure gas line. Whether the bridge is used further for the gas line, I don't know. The construction works on the one hand indicate that this is probably not the case. The bridge was built in the mid-sixties and shows signs of decay. Bad Ragaz, Switzerland, July 22, 2012. Coordinates 757400 / 208760Sorry, but the bridge is already on maps since 1972 .| Flickr : Forbidden Bridge| Kecko| [{Image src='https://www.austria-forum.org/cc/images/slim/by.png' alt='CC BY 2.0' align='center' link='https://www.austria-forum.org/cc/by-20.html' target='_blank'}]| Datei:Forbidden Bridge.jpg
