The V & A Waterfront (Victoria & Alfred Waterfront) was opened in 1992 to encourage and promote the economically underdeveloped area of the historical harbour district. 

The V & A Waterfront is South Africa's most popular tourist attraction and offers numerous restaurants, shops and sights.
