The theater [{GoogleMap location='34.040487,-118.258953' zoom='12'}] opened on November 11, 1926 as the second theater built in Los Angeles with the Belasco name. It was designed by the same company that designed "The Mayan". In addition to the theater, with its original 1601 seats, the building contains an upstairs ballroom that can hold 400 people. The Belasco Theatre was designed for straight plays.
