The ship does not dock in Ketchican [{GoogleMap location='Ketchican, USA' zoom='15'}]. 

Rather, we are ferried to the shore in what normally would be rescue boats. 

The weather is gorgeous! This is very unusual, since Ketchikan with some 5 meters of rainfall a year has very few days like the one we are experiencing.
