Clingmans Dome [{GoogleMap location='Clingmans Dome, Forneys Creek, North Carolina 28713, USA' zoom='10'}] is a mountain in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina. It is the highest mountain in the Smokies, at an elevation of 6643 feet (2,025 m), as well as the highest point in the state of Tennessee. It has two subpeaks, Mount Buckley to the west (6,560 feet [2,000 m]) and Mount Love to the east (6,400 feet [1,950 m]). Clingmans Dome is protected as part of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
