%%lang,english  Some would write this with quotation marks, since a number of countries consider the death of over one million Armenians in Turkey in WWI not a genocide but as a “consequence of war”. 

Certainly the perpetrator Turkey does so: it has apologized for the death of Armenians but never accepted that this was genocide.
