The Huxinting Teahouse (Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse) in Shanghai was built as a pavilion in the middle of an artificial lake in 1784, but converted to a teahouse in 1855. 

It can accommodate 200 patrons at a time and is visited by people from all over the world.
