Bei Neu- oder Umbauten verlangt es die Tradition, dass das Haus gesegnet wird, um böse Geistern und Dämonen abzuwehren und Glück für die darin wohnende Familie zu erbitten. Eine kleine Delegation mit einem Brahmanen an der Spitze übernimmt die ehrenvolle Aufgabe – natürlich nicht ganz kostenlos.
