Nachdem ein Erdbeben 1975 größere Verwüstungen anrichtete, musste das Kloster Schritt für Schritt renoviert werden. Vollendet wurde die Neugestaltung mit der Einweihung der Versammlungs- und Gebetshalle durch den Dalai Lama im Jahr 2000. Seitdem finden hier täglich mehrere Pujas statt.

After an earthquake wreaked havoc in 1975, the monastery had to be renovated step by step. The redesign was completed with the inauguration of the assembly and prayer hall by the Dalai Lama in 2000. Since then, several pujas have been held here every day.
