The Kazan Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox church located in the northeast corner of Red Square in Moscow. Originally constructed in 1636, the structure was destroyed in 1936 by the Soviet Government. 

It was rebuilt between 1990 and 1993 using detailed measurements and photos that had been preserved of the original church.
