Eğirdir, a town of 20,000 inhabitants, is peacefully located at the southern end of the lake of the same name. Along the shores of the lake the ancient royal road from Babylon to Ephesus once ran. The name of the town is a constant source of ridicule since Eğirdir means as much as “she is crooked”. Originally it was supposed to be a reference to spinning. However, this quiet town is still an ideal place to relax.
